The Diabetic Association of Pakistan conducted a student awareness session at Ninos Brillantes School under the T1D Community Fund Project by Panorama, educating students about Type 1 Diabetes, its early symptoms, and the importance of early awareness and support.
The Diabetic Association of Pakistan (DAP) inaugurated its new laboratory facility in the presence of Council Members and office bearers. A live demonstration, including the President’s blood test, showcased the laboratory’s operational readiness and commitment to quality diagnostics. This development represents a significant step toward strengthening diagnostic services and enhancing patient care.
A council meeting was held at the Diabetic Association of Pakistan with senior leadership and council members to review ongoing initiatives, discuss organizational development, and plan strategies to further strengthen patient care services and operational excellence.

Following the news of Prof. Dr. Abdul Basit being ranked among the Top 2% Scientists in the World by Stanford University, the Diabetes Association of Pakistan (DAP) team gathered today, Wednesday, January 14, 2026, to celebrate. It was a proud moment for all of us as we held a cake-cutting ceremony during our weekly meeting. We want to express our deepest gratitude to Prof. Abdul Basit and Prof. Shabeen Naz Masood for their visionary leadership and for putting Pakistan on the global map of scientific excellence. The community diabetes awareness program was attended by a large number of participants and honored by Chief Guest Gen (R) Moinuddin Haider. Mian Mukhtar Ahmed, President of Diabetic Association of Pakistan, along with senior officials and healthcare professionals, stressed the importance of early detection, awareness, and preventive care. The event featured an interactive Q&A session, free diabetes screenings, and educational activities aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle practices and empowering the community.
