DAP
Diabetic foot complications have become a major health crisis in Pakistan. Studies reveal that between 12% and 19.5% of diabetics develop foot ulcers, with prevalence rates in some studies exceeding 50%. Without timely intervention, these ulcers can quickly lead to amputation.
Pakistan faces alarmingly high amputation rates of 21% to 48%, one of the highest in the world. The primary causes are peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage), peripheral arterial disease (poor blood flow), and delayed treatment due to financial barriers.
At the Diabetic Association of Pakistan, we are fighting to change these statistics—one foot at a time.
At DAP, we provide a complete continuum of foot care services. Our goal is to eliminate financial barriers and ensure every patient receives timely, professional care.
